Healthy Power Break: Tosti Deluxe

This time we present to you the tosti or how most people call it, the croque monsieur. Normally you just use cheese and ham, but to make it a delicious healthy break full of flavor, we will show you how to make our tosti deluxe.

As a base we use a freshly baked french bread filled with hazelnuts, pieces of cashew nuts, sunflower seeds and linseed. As topping we start with a couple of slices of the french cheese brie. Then we put some small pieces of pineapple on top of that with a few drops of honey. Finally we add a slice of chicken filet and another piece of bread. For those who want to can add some rosemary and thyme to give the tosti even more flavor. Now, this goes under the sandwich iron for a couple of minutes. Keep the heat as low as possible, otherwise the bread will burn before your cheese is melted. When the bread turns gold-brown, put it on a cutting board and cut it diagonally. The molten cheese sometimes tends to drip out, this is a sign that you timed it just perfect! As little extra we always use a little bit of our beloved heinz tomato ketchup with balsamic vinegar. The tosti deluxe is ready to be served!

You can have this on your table within 10 minutes and it takes little effort to make so it is the ideal healthy power break. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
