Healthy Power Break: Smoothie With Coconut Milk

In Healthy Power Breaks we will illustrate how easy it is to make a delicious snack or beverage using only fresh organic ingredients. I am going to start of simple by making a fruity smoothie.

Making a smoothie is not really hard, but it takes a little effort and time slicing the different pieces of fruit. In this smoothie I used bananas, kiwis, pineapple and berries. Of course you are not limited to these 4 types, use your imagination! Every combination has its own color and specific taste, so it is easy to vary.

Everyone knows that you should eat 2 pieces of fruit every day. This is a simple and delicious way to obtain your daily dose of vitamins. The only downside is that a decent smoothie contains a high concentration of sugar, which causes your blood glucose levels to skyrocket. This is unhealthy and can lead to diabetes. Fortunately there is a way to prevent that by adding an ingredient. In this smoothie I chose coconut milk. The fat in the milk keeps your blood glucose levels under control, so you can enjoy your smoothie at ease. Besides coconut milk, you can also use avocado and cocoa butter. Good luck making your own smoothie!
